Hello all, my name is George Matheis. I am a 38 yr old Daddy of 3, married for 17 yrs. Retired from law enforcement in 2007 and now I am a Combat Skills Instructor for the DOD. I think when I was born I was around 200 lbs or so. Least I weighed as an adult was 220 in basic training. Last time I check I was 320, funny thing is I fit into the same uniforms I did when I was 220, BDUs anyway.

For a long, long time, I have felt addicted to food, and realized I was living to eat, not eating to live. I would make erational excuses to overeat, or just eat worthless calories.

Got a two close friends, like brothers to me who are Primal. I like the idea for what it was and that it would further separate me from a society that I don't identify with.

When Primal a week ago, feeling very good, without guilt for what I eat. With no real cravings. Have even tackled going out to eat and a church picnic and walked away feeling happy, and not deprived.

Not in a real hurry for results, will take them as the come. Breaking my emotional attachments to bad food is the best. Took me a long time to get this jacked up, will take a long time to fix- George

Welcome! You are among many of us looking to detach ourselves from food and view it for what it is: bodily nourishment.

I design websites and blogs for a living. If you would like a blog or website designed by someone who understands Primal, see my web page.

Primal Blueprint Explorer My blog for people who are not into the Grok thing. Since starting the blog, I have moved close to being Archevore instead of Primal. But Mark's Daily Apple is still the best source of information about living an ancestral lifestyle.
