  • Primal Journal ~ I Am Awesome!!

    Hi everyone,

    I'm a 46 yo male. Over the last 6 months I have lost 30 lbs using portion control. Now I'm ready to get into the Primal Lifestyle and lose some more weight. Today, Friday March 25, 2011 I weigh 235 lbs. My goal is to loose body fat and gain and build muscle.

    Here's to Going Primal!

      Several Days Later...

      Well I have been attempting to stay away from carbs, but I find that I use them as a crutch when I get stresses, anxious, depressed. I have lived with anxiety and depression for most of my adult life and I look forward to a time when I am much more happy and less stressed. I figure the way to do this is through better eating and excercise.

      So today I had the following for breakfast:
      Scrambled eggs and veggies
      2 whole eggs
      small handfull of mushrooms
      a small handfull of sliced black olives
      some diced sweet onions
      butter to sautee

      2 cups of decafe coffee with 2% milk and sugar

      Lunch I had 2 Taco Bell soft Taco supremes... Had a rough morning and wanted something to kick me in gear. 1 Yeungling beer.

      Snack.. Starbucks Java Chip Frapacino. (I know, I know its not good) but at least Im being truthful about what Im eating.

      Dinner: 4 tostones... fried green plaintains...

      Drank 72 oz of water

      That's it... working on avoiding cravings after 7PM so I dont eat and gain more weight.

        Here's hoping you get to write Lose a lot, hence the need to spell it correctly. Just ignore me if you want, I'm ok with that!

        Loose is good if you're talking about your pants.

          Thursday March 31 - Meals

          For breakfast today I have a 16 oz cup of coffee and 1 Starbucks Bacon, Gouda and egg Sandwich

          Lunch was a 6 OZ can of tuna, mayo and lettuce

          Dinner is coming up and Im thinking of having a salad with boiled cajun shrimp.

          So far Ive had 48 oz of water to wash it all down.

          This mornign I got on the scale and I'm down 2 pounds. Thank goodness, Ive been worried about my diet. So I'm at 233 lbs!! Whohoo!!!

            Ok. Today is April 26. One month ago I was at 235. Today I'm at 224. I did make it to 220 but have climbed a little bit. So that is 11 to 15 pounds in one month. Not bad....

            Now to find something else for breakfast. I've been eating scrambled eggs each morning and Im starting to get tired of it.

            Ideas for breakfast?

              Well its is over a year and it has been a rough one. I'm at 250. I am working out, something I haven't done in several years.
