  • Happy Thanksgiving all!

I've been remiss in my reporting once again. However, that changes today. Tomorrow I start a W30. This past month has been a tough one and I need to hone back in on my focus, so this may be an annual Thanksgiving to Christmas tradition of W30.

Rig - The problem is, I can generally get to my folks in the morning and he still works, sometimes out of town, so getting him there with me is quite difficult. I will be talking to him soon. His work requires a trade show that starts tomorrow for a week in Chicago, so he will be out of town. I will however take this all up with him. My SIL was there the other day helping out with something and fixing the phone once again. VOIP from Comcast seems to be shaky at best.

Pam - no have not heard from John. As Rig mentions he does tweet here and there. I've sent him a message on there, but haven't heard back. I do miss him around here. I think forum issues, plus some personal ones sent him in a new direction. I sure wish he'd check in once in a while. I plan to send him a Happy Thanksgiving via there today.

Have an awesome day all and enjoy your holiday with family and friends.

    Grok on my friends!

    • Good Morning Friends,

As promised, I'm back. Today is day 1 of W30. Had a good W30 breakfast. Have my pork out to make more of my HM sausage that is compliant. Will be pulling out my book to refresh what I may have forgotten. Breakfast was easy, other than adding back bacon, that basically didn't stray, so meal one - done. Fixing the rest of the day, ahem - snacks (too many, not bad stuff) and general lack of focus has required me to get my ship set back on a straighter course.

Oh and my 10,000 step focus also lost it's grip, so that too gets fixed today as well. Onward and upward.

For those that fight the crowds today, more power to you. I'm staying in.

        • W30 day 3 in the books. Going well. Got in a small walk with the dog, some time on my Gazelle and 20 min yoga. Feeling accomplished. Feels good to be back to yoga. Found a fantastic app. Down Dog. Check it out if you like yoga. Can do anywhere from 10 min to 85. So far tried 10 and 20.

            • Well friends I guess this is it. Mark declared this forum closed. It's been a rough week and now I'm about to lose my journal as well. No easy wy to get my journal off of here and way too many pages to try and copy. It's a sad, sad day in grok land.

              • No there is no easy way to copy your journal, but I for one am reasonably glad about that. I will just draw a line under it and start fresh on the new forum. I few months ago when I thought this might happen I actually copied my decluttering posts, goodness knows why but I wanted a record, the rest though, I feel have served their purpose. It's been a good while it lasted.

                • Well I spent way too much time this morning copying out my W30 info from this year. Actually going back and re-reading that was very helpful. I can definitely see what's changed over the past few months with my added stress. I'm happy to have it now on my computer.

I did it, because as I checked here today, the tears started flowing. I knew I needed it for my own mental health. To me, this is just one more loss in my life that i don't need.
