Interesting read, maybe I should be thankful that I live in one of the more colder places in Australia!

It's always the men in these experiments! Ask any menopausal woman who shivers like crazy, then sweats - all in the same hour.
Hubby and I are seniors and sedentary. Our thermostat is set to 67F most days, but doesn't heat every room evenly. Even so, there are times I practically have to camp on top of the fireplace to get warm enough. Particularly around and above the freezing mark. Dampness kills our old bones.;-) It did mention that 62.5 degrees for 2 hours a day initiated fat-burning in middle-aged men. And I have seen/read where keeping the temps in the 50's kept the fat off younger people. It can kill old folks.;-)

To me, it's still a developing story. But, to the best of my understanding, using the cold to enhance weight loss needs to be in conjunction with a ketogenic diet, heavily infused with lots of omega 3. Simple high fat, low carb (as we tend to practice it) isn't going to help much with cold thermogenesis or adaption, however you want to phrase it.
