  • Diatomaceous Earth

I'm thinking of adding this to my diet. Just wondering if anyone out there has tried it and what kind of results or impact you had?

Not over doing it, just trialing it as part of supplement current routine - coconut oil pulling, Kelp, Vitamin D3 and Turmeric. It appears the main benefit is for joints and detox.

I tried this some years ago. There's a thread about it somewhere ... Not at all sure about it TBH. I had traces of blood in my stools at the same time I was using it and never worked out if it was coincidence or result of the Diatomaceous earth. Stopped taking it - blood stopped appearing. So I sprinkled it on the garden ..... I had wanted it for the silica - which I now get from nettle tea.

Reading that thread has me a bit intrigued. Little concerned too. I'll have to look into it some more. Helpful, inert, of harmful....not sure yet! If you begin that regimen let us know how it goes Canuck.

I tried it several years ago for digestive issues. No noticeable effect, good or bad.
I moved to primalforums.com to escape the spam.

Why in the world would you want to put an abrasive material in your system?

Not a real food, not a supplement (it doesn't add anything), not Primal, not paleo, not good.

Is it supposed to get rid of parasites? There are better ways. Use it on garden slugs and don't tear up your guts.
