    Elliot, almost all of those examples are replacing sat fats with omega-6 oils. It should go without saying that the replacement matters. The one no-effect example was advice; it should not be surprising that even the best advice is often impotent in a free-living population, whose compliance is difficult to achieve.

      One of the trials I posted tried replacing saturated fat with olive oil. Another one decreased the ratio of saturated/polyunsaturated, but also decreased total fat intake. If you think eating less fat in general is the answer, then the Diet And Reinfarction Trial covers that.
