  • Nutrional value of *heated* Kefir?

I've been having Kefir for a while now, and I sort of get sizzling type sensations in my lymph node areas around my thighs and what feels like my back/kidney areas.

I'm wondering if it's a yeast thing (perhaps even die-off?), and whether it may be worth heating the Kefir to kill the living organisms.

Yes, I know that's the whole point - but my thinking is I still get the vitamin/mineral content (thanks to being partially digested by the fermentation process) but none of the yeast which 'might' be causing problems.

Do you have any thoughts about this?
    :-)
