  • Your old school paleo family

So I wanted to share this photo of my paternal great uncle (left) and paternal great grandfather (right). They were born in 1926 and 1931 respectively. This photo is between 1947 and 1952 (probably closer to 1947, as I'm positive my grandfather is back from WWII at this point) on the farm. I think it's a great example of what could easily be looked at as largely paleo living (sure they probably had a lot of bread and corn though).

For some idea on their physical activity. My grandfather was playing for IU football and basketball, delivering 50-100lb blocks of ice from a truck when not at school and trapsing around the woods and creeks/streams/rivers in the area. That big turtle alone is a work out!

Then here is my grandmother in the early late 40's beore they moved from the farm (if you look at pictures of her from the 50's and on she didn't keep that figure living in the city, still was attractive but plumped up noticeably), people just looked so much better back 'in the day'

Anyone else got cool old family photos showing the muscles of 'real' men/women?
